  • Last night, I updated our Confluence installation from 5.7.4 to 5.8.4. After this, all instances of the sql-query macro display this error: Error rendering macro 'sql-query' : net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.ConnectionJDBC3.isValid(I)Z This issue appears for all instances I can find of the sql-query macro, with all our data sources. Our data sources are still defined in conf/server.xml, similarly to this: {{ <Resource name="jdbc/adisreportsnapshottool" auth="Container" type="javax.sql.DataSource" driverClassName="net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.Driver" url="jdbc:jtds:sqlserver://adisdb1.wustl.edu:1433/ReportSnapshotTool" username="webuser" password="redacted" maxActive="20" maxIdle="10" maxWait="-1" /> }} Here's the first few lines from the relevant part of atlassian-confluence.log (I can send the whole 450-line trace if needed): {{2015-07-10 13:40:10,290 ERROR [http-nio-8090-exec-11] [xhtml.view.macro.ViewMacroMarshaller] marshalInternal Error rendering macro: sql-query -- url: /display/%7Em.ahearn/Server+Lookup | userName: m.ahearn | action: viewpage | page: 23789716 java.lang.AbstractMethodError: net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.ConnectionJDBC3.isValid(I)Z at org.apache.tomcat.dbcp.dbcp2.DelegatingConnection.isValid(DelegatingConnection.java:913) at org.apache.tomcat.dbcp.dbcp2.PoolableConnection.validate(PoolableConnection.java:226) at org.apache.tomcat.dbcp.dbcp2.PoolableConnectionFactory.validateConnection(PoolableConnectionFactory.java:302) at org.apache.tomcat.dbcp.dbcp2.BasicDataSource.validateConnectionFactory(BasicDataSource.java:2208) at org.apache.tomcat.dbcp.dbcp2.BasicDataSource.createPoolableConnectionFactory(BasicDataSource.java:2191) at org.apache.tomcat.dbcp.dbcp2.BasicDataSource.createDataSource(BasicDataSource.java:1945) at org.apache.tomcat.dbcp.dbcp2.BasicDataSource.getConnection(BasicDataSource.java:1412) at org.swift.confluence.sql.SqlDataHelper.getDatabaseConnectionFromDatasource(SqlDataHelper.java:640) at org.swift.confluence.sql.SqlDataHelper.getDatabaseConnection(SqlDataHelper.java:492) at org.swift.confluence.sql.SqlDataHelper.process(SqlDataHelper.java:147) at org.swift.confluence.sql.SqlMacro.process(SqlMacro.java:227) at org.swift.confluence.sql.SqlMacro.execute(SqlMacro.java:174) at org.randombits.support.confluence.ConfluenceMacro.execute(ConfluenceMacro.java:65) }} Please let me know if there's any more information you need to track this issue down.
