org.hibernate.exception.GenericJDBCException: Could not execute JDBC batch update

! have pentaho configured to use a MySQL solution repository. When I use the "Refresh > Repository Cache" Action and the contents on the file system are too large to handle for the server, I get errors like this: 22:17:03,250 ERROR [HibernateUtil] HIBUTIL.ERROR_0008 - commitTransaction() mislukt. org.hibernate.exception.GenericJDBCException: Could not execute JDBC batch update at org.hibernate.exception.SQLStateConverter.handledNonSpecificException(SQLStateConverter.java:103) ...cut.. at org.hibernate.transaction.JDBCTransaction.commit(JDBCTransaction.java:106) at org.pentaho.platform.repository.hibernate.HibernateUtil.commitTransaction(HibernateUtil.java:494) ...cut... at org.pentaho.mantle.server.MantleServlet.refreshRepository(MantleServlet.java:266) ...cut... at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source) Caused by: java.sql.BatchUpdateException: Packet for query is too large (1073241 > 1048576). You can change this value on the server by setting the max_allowed_ packet' variable. Now in itself this error has to do with the configuration of the MySQL server, but what is annoying is that the user console shows the message box "Repository refreshed successfully" regardless. Of course, despite the message the repository is not (fully) refreshed. (BTW: The suggested fix (reconfigure the server) will work - just set max_allowed_packet in your my.cnf or my.ini file to the appropriate value)
