  • FULL PRODUCT VERSION : java version "1.8.0_66" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_66-b18) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 25.66-b18, mixed mode, sharing) ADDITIONAL OS VERSION INFORMATION : Microsoft Windows XP SP2 version 5.1.2600] A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM : Since upgrading to JDK 8u66 from 8u51basics JavaFX application cannot be packaged and launched on Windows XP anymore (tested on 2 differents PC). So for reproduce simply create and show a basic/minimalist JavaFX application. If the application is packaged to a native application with a .exe file the message is that the app : "is not a valid win32 application". If the application is packaged as simple jar and launched with jdk 8u66 I get the exception given in the crash section. I tested with both Ant target and the javafx-maven-plugin. Everything's fine on 8u51 but not in 8u66. I read from other issues that some changes happened in the packager since 8u60. This could be the cause of the problem. REGRESSION.
