question on service-ref-name in application client descriptor file

    Oracle Community | 10 years ago | 392 Guest
com.sun.enterprise.deployment.backend.IASDeploymentException: Error loading deployment descriptors for module [v_WSW2JDLHttpTest_wsappclient_vehicle] -- This applica tion client has no service refernce by the name service/wsw2jdlhttptest I have checked my service wsw2jdlhttptest and it is indeed deployed fine. Also, I am able to deploy the client ear with the same deployment plan jar from the command line. The stack trace is shown below, can any one give me an idea what the sun Deployer is looking for for server-ref-name? What is it trying to do when it calls ApplicationClientDescriptor.getServiceReferenceByName()? Thanks! Gigi >

com.sun.enterprise.deployment.backend.IASDeploymentException: Maybe you could attach the simple test project you created, and we can take a look from our end to see if we can reproduce.. Eve Pokua wrote: Hello, Thank you for your reply. I have been using @EJB injection for a very long time, mainly because, I used to copy my files from one PC to another and I had a lot of problems with that JNDI. I have checked all my implementation beans and non has any JNDI defined. It has been deploying all this long so I don't know why it won't deploy anymore. Furthermore, I created a test project and that won't deploy either. That one has no client calling and lookup to JNDI bean and the bean has no map reference to any JNDI. I have been using Verify in netbeans to check where I went wrong. regards eve Date: Fri, 25 Sep 2009 19:36:57 -0400 From: Hong.Zhang@Sun.COM To: users@glassfish.dev.java.net Subject: Re: WARNING: com.sun.enterprise.deployment.backend.IASDeploymentException: From the stack trace: [#|2009-09-25T22:08:16.738+0100|SEVERE|sun-appserver2.1|javax.enterprise.system.core.classloading|_ThreadID=20;_ThreadName=httpWorkerThread-4848-0;_RequestID=3fcae431-4d4a-486b-a852-c3ad66890eb2;|LDR5013: Naming exception while creating EJB container: javax.naming.NameAlreadyBoundException: Use rebind to override

    Toplink predeploy error

Oracle Community | 9 years ago | loren_
com.sun.enterprise.deployment.backend.IASDeploymentException: javax.persistence.PersistenceException: Exception [TOPLINK-28018] (Oracle TopLink Essentials - 2.0 (Build b58g-fcs (09/07/2007))): oracle.toplink.essentials.exceptions.EntityManagerSetupException Exception Description: predeploy for PersistenceUnit [userManagementEJB] failed. Internal Exception: java.lang.NullPointerException I also get the following in the log: annotation symbol inheritance is not supported. symbol: TYPE location: class com.myapp.FacadeBean This is especially vexing because I have my entities packed in an .ear (which contains the FacadeBean) and a .war which uses them remotely and I get this error when deploying the .war which just seems totally wrong. I'm using V2 b58g. Everything works fine if I take out the @Basic (except for my relation being lazily loaded) I would be very appreciative for any help. -- Loren If you are interested here's the stack trace: [#|2008-01-09T16:58:58.001-0600|INFO|sun-appserver9.1|javax.enterprise.system.tools.admin|_ThreadID=17;_ThreadName=httpWorkerThread-4848-0;/tmp/s1astempdomain1server783893415/userManagementWicket.war;|ADM1006:Uploading the file to:[/tmp/s1astempdomain1server783893415/userManagementWicket.war]|#] [#|2008-01-09T16:58:58.614-0600|FINE|sun-appserver9.1|javax.enterprise.resource.jdo.sqlstore|_ThreadID=29;_ThreadName=Thread-39;ClassName=com.sun.jdo.spi.persistence.support.ejb.ejbc.DeploymentEventListenerImpl;MethodName=processApplication;redeploy;userManagementWicket;_RequestID=c1f64b24-98d5-4b9a-a9fe-fb87649c7cb9;|ejb.DeploymentEventListenerImpl.processingevent|#] [#|2008-01-09T16:58:58.614-0600|FINE|sun-appserver9.1|javax.enterprise.resource.jdo.codegen.ejb|_ThreadID=29;_ThreadName=Thread-39;ClassName=com.sun.jdo.spi.persistence.support.ejb.ejbc.PersistenceProcessor;MethodName=processAppBundle;false;false;_RequestID=c1f64b24-98d5-4b9a-a9fe-fb87649c7cb9;|Processing event to create tables: false, drop tables: false.|#] [#|2008-01-09T16:59:00.325-0600|WARNING|sun-appserver9.1|javax.enterprise.system.tools.deployment|_ThreadID=29;_ThreadName=Thread-39;_RequestID=c1f64b24-98d5-4b9a-a9fe-fb87649c7cb9;|The annotation symbol inheritance is not supported. symbol: TYPE location: class com.corenap.security.management.UserFacadeBean |#] [#|2008-01-09T16:59:00.429-0600|FINE|sun-appserver9.1|javax.enterprise.resource.jdo.sqlstore|_ThreadID=29;_ThreadName=Thread-39;ClassName=com.sun.jdo.spi.persistence.support.ejb.ejbc.DeploymentEventListenerImpl;MethodName=processApplication;redeploy;userManagementWicket;_RequestID=c1f64b24-98d5-4b9a-a9fe-fb87649c7cb9;|ejb.DeploymentEventListenerImpl.processingevent|#] [#|2008-01-09T16:59:00.430-0600|FINE|sun-appserver9.1|javax.enterprise.resource.jdo.codegen.ejb|_ThreadID=29;_ThreadName=Thread-39;ClassName=com.sun.jdo.spi.persistence.support.ejb.ejbc.PersistenceProcessor;MethodName=processAppBundle;false;false;_RequestID=c1f64b24-98d5-4b9a-a9fe-fb87649c7cb9;|Processing event to create tables: false, drop tables: false.|#] [#|2008-01-09T16:59:00.460-0600|INFO|sun-appserver9.1|javax.enterprise.system.tools.deployment|_ThreadID=29;_ThreadName=Thread-39;|deployed with moduleid = userManagementWicket|#] [#|2008-01-09T16:59:00.676-0600|INFO|sun-appserver9.1|javax.enterprise.system.core.naming|_ThreadID=17;_ThreadName=httpWorkerThread-4848-0;java:comp/env/com.corenap.security.management.UserFacadeBean/emf;|naming.bind|#] [#|2008-01-09T16:59:00.690-0600|SEVERE|sun-appserver9.1|org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext|_ThreadID=17;_ThreadName=httpWorkerThread-4848-0;_RequestID=120860b1-8bdb-4077-809b-9e828195c08e;|PWC1311: Error stopping context StandardEngine[com.sun.appserv].StandardHost[server].StandardContext[/userManagement] LifecycleException: PWC2769: Manager has not yet been started
