When attempting to edit the KS Department Scheduler - Org role in UMD Rice, the edit page does not render completely and there is an exception in the logs. Mar 20, 2014 11:27:56 AM org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationDispatcher invoke SEVERE: Servlet.service() for servlet jsp threw exception javax.servlet.jsp.JspTagException: attributeEntry was null, property: member.qualifier(10005).attrVal I tried to edit this role using ENV12 and got a stacktrace error. ******************Stack Trace-Only shown when not in production***************** org.kuali.rice.kns.kim.type.DataDictionaryTypeServiceBase$KimTypeAttributeException: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.kuali.rice.student.bo.KualiStudentKimAttributes at org.kuali.rice.kns.kim.type.DataDictionaryTypeServiceBase.getDataDictionaryAttributeDefinition(DataDictionaryTypeServiceBase.java:543) To reproduce, edit "KS Department Scheduler - Org" role (possibly any role) in a distributed environment. Additional info from Will G. [2:23:28 PM] Will Gomes: so what is happening is the KS-ENR role uses a attribute which the rice server doesn't know about [2:23:44 PM] Will Gomes: the attributes are defined in the KualiStudentKimAttributes class [2:25:23 PM] Will Gomes: what needs to happen is the Role type service being used by the KS ENR role needs to be exposed as a callback service, and the service name entry in the KIM Type table needs to be upated so KIM can make a remote call if needed
