org.apache.hadoop.hbase.ZooKeeperConnectionException

There are no available Samebug tips for this exception. Do you have an idea how to solve this issue? A short tip would help users who saw this issue last week.

  • 1. Open the HBase Output Step 2. Enter the HBase connection information using the Zookeeper host and port 3. Switch to the Create/Edit Mappings tab 4. Select a table from the drop down 5. Create a new mapping by typing a new name into the Mapping Name field 6. Configure the mapping 7. Click OK without saving the mapping. Do NOT click Save Mapping. 8. Reopen the HBase Output Step 9. Try to connect to HBase (Either try creating a mapping again, or click the Get Tables button) 10. You will get the following error and have to close and re-open Spoon to get the error to go away. If you save mapping or edit an existing mapping without saving you do not have this issue. It only occurs with new mappings. org.apache.hadoop.hbase.ZooKeeperConnectionException: HBase is able to connect to ZooKeeper but the connection closes immediately. This could be a sign that the server has too many connections (30 is the default). Consider inspecting your ZK server logs for that error and then make sure you are reusing HBaseConfiguration as often as you can.
