java.io.IOException

There are no available Samebug tips for this exception. Do you have an idea how to solve this issue? A short tip would help users who saw this issue last week.

  • After upgrading to the newest release (Aptana Studio 3, build: 3.0.7.201112151935), I am now constantly getting this error message when saving a file to a remote SFTP server. What's even worse is that the original file on the server is then removed! ***** The message is "Error saving the remote file FILENAME has encountered a problem. Unable to close output stream. java.io.IOException **** NOTE: After some more experimenting, it seems that this error only happens when I have more the one instance of the the page open. Steps for Testing # Create a new web project # Create a new connection to an SFTP server and select a directory with write access # Create a new file in the project # Move or sync this file over to the SFTP server # Close all documents # Open the file on the SFTP server # Right-click the editor's tab and select "New Editor" # Make some edits to one of the editors containing the remote file # Save the document You should see no error dialog, the file should still exist on the remote server, and the content of the remote file should have been updated.
