I've solved the problem by adding all needed librarys described in the approbriated propertie file (liferay-plugin-package.properties). The class cast exception vanished but the liferay portal won't find the portlet descriptor. That results in an unnamed and uncatathegorisized portlet. The portlet is then available in the portal server, but it don't work -> it results in an unresolvable request in the portlet after pressing the "Open" Link. Same thing happens on Windows XP. It is important for us to get the icefaces+liferay working, because we are in an project kickoff. If the demos are not working I have to cancel the use of liferay for our company. Otherwise it will become a strategic product inside our portfolio. Can you help please!?
